  • A Thanksgiving to be Thankful For

    Posted 03/11/2014

Thanksgiving is just around the corner and many are looking forward to dinners with family and friends. From setup to cleanup, give thanks to these holiday tips that’ll make your holiday more of… well, a holiday. Consider it a gift from us to you!

TIP ONE – Focus your efforts where it counts.
Don’t go all out on over the top hors d’oeuvres that’ll only be trumped by entrees and desserts. To save time, plan easy, make ahead bites such as Swedish meatballs, candied nuts, baked Brie and heat and eat prepared appetizers.

TIP TWO – Get some help.
Buying pre-made foods and doctoring them up is a great way to save time and still be able to put your own stamp on the meal. Look for recipes using store bought ingredients such as puff pastry, packaged mixes and prepared sauces

TIP THREE – Set up early.
Not only does it look nicer when the table is set when guests arrive, it’ll give you more time to visit and partake in the festivities.

TIP FOUR – Clean as you go.
All of us know that one person who uses everything in the kitchen when preparing a meal. Don’t become a scrooge, limit the mess by cleaning as you go, reusing when possible and running the dishwasher as needed to keep the sink empty.

TIP FIVE – Give yourself a gift.
One of the best gifts you can give yourself is dining out for Thanksgiving. Going out for Thanksgiving dinner allows everyone time to relax and visit and no one gets stuck in the kitchen. Leave the cooking and cleaning to us!
