Porto Vista Hotel has committed to sustainability and continuing to seek ways to improve daily routines that can help preserve the environment. In 2018, we had installed a complete solar panel system. Solar panels create energy without emissions or the use of resources including coal, trees, or other fossil fuels. Air quality can improve, it also can have a positive impact on farmlands, beaches, lakes and rivers and even marine life in the area. 

Since the installation we are proud to state that we have saved 5,925 trees! Our goal is to keep this number rising, with that in mind we have placed a tree counter on our website to display our growing efforts and accountability. We look forward to implementing and sharing more innovative ways to preserve mother nature.
